Forsterite
Forsterite is a polycrystalline material. Due to its high phase fraction it has various advantageous product properties. However, Sembach does not often use forsterite as the phase fraction is basically similar to that of Steatite C221. The material is fired at temperatures between 1,300° and 1,400°C.

- High coefficient of thermal expansion
- Good thermal insulation
- Very good electrical insulation property
