Successful recertification

Sembach Technical Ceramics takes a certification audit every 3 years to renew the validity of its certificates. Recertification audits comprise an inspection of management system documentation and an on-site audit. In May of this year IntechnicaCert GmbH, an independent institute based in Nuremberg, Germany, assessed the implementation of three management systems for environmental protection, occupational safety and energy management. After spending four days auditing the progress, implementation and efficiency of systems and processes, the Institute certified that Sembach is fulfilling the requirements of the related management systems in accordance with mandatory standards. Sembach Technical Ceramics is on the right path towards successfully changing its systems over to the latest applicable standards by 2018.

In the field of energy management the responsible auditor focused on the continuous improvement of collecting relevant data to ensure the systematic optimization of energy use. The audits on environmental protection and occupational safety showed the importance of skilled labor in the field of environmental protection and occupational safety to ensure that all tasks in these areas are effectively fulfilled. The health care program for employees made a positive impression on the auditors. Sembach Technical Ceramics offers a movement training in the workplace given by external physiotherapists.

The management and the audit team appreciate the support which was given by all employees.
